Former Inter centre-back Andrea Ranocchia, currently on loan at Hull City, talked to Radio24 about his situation in England:
The change of atmosphere was good to you anyway.
"Here the relationship with the media is very easy, there is not so much attention because we are not a big club. Maybe in big clubs something changes, but you do not absolutely live football as in Italy. It's just another way of living, then I do not know if it's better or worse in Italy. Here there are not many problems, in any case: there is little culture of excuses, this is the first thing I noticed. You train and you play at your best, We are very tired at the end of the game. But when the game ends there is nothing else, no controversy or consequences. On Monday we focus on the new game".
Are you in contact with other Italians in England?
"I have heard Matteo Darmian sometimes, but not others. But I'm fine, no problem. Saturday I shall see Walter Mazzarri, I'll greet him gladly. Beyond the Inter shaky period, there was a good relationship. But I hope to win".
Thinking back of the San Siro, what do you feel?
"Honestly, no special effects, I'm now immersed in this new adventure and I do not think about anything else. The San Siro has given me so much, I experienced good and difficult times, they are part of life of a football player and I am happy to have lived them. Playing at a big club like Inter is always beautiful, beyond what happened. Sometimes it was my fault, sometimes I was leaning, but I always had broad shoulders and took my responsibilities. Now I'm focused on Hull City, the experience here is making me good. I do not miss the Italian centrifugal".
Will your future be English?
"Who knows... I knew about Hull one hour before and I took the decision in five minutes. It's impossible to predict what will happen, I have a two-year contract at Inter and the time comes to speak of the future. But now I do not think about at all. I am committing my energy to do my best here".
